Jess Hough is a local artist/handyman. She spends most of her time plein air drawing out in the red rock desert, making traditional intaglio prints on her homemade printing press, making paper, and building hand made frames for her art.

In 2023 Jess was selected to be resident Community Artist in the Parks, a local program which partners artists with the national parks and monuments of Southeast Utah.

Much of this collection was created during her time out in the parks doing demos of print making and plein air drawing.

Art print is 5” x 7” and comes matted ready for an 8” x10” frame.

”Park Avenue” - Arches National Park

“The tall, steep walls of park avenue are an amazing spot to see how much the bright desert sun highlights all the natural features out here. I spent a few mornings sitting on the trail working on the drawing. The huge, deep shadows moving across the landscape with he sun were so much fun to watch.”
