Desert Edge | Annie Dalton
Born in Moab and raised to wander, Annie feels incredibly fortunate to have always been inspired by the fierce beauty of the wild Southwest desert. Deeply intrigued by the idea of form following function, she strives to create artful tools for artful living.
She gathers inspiration from exposed layers of desert geology, the harmony of ancient architectural ratios, and the spiraling of sacred geometry mirrored in native flora’s rotational patterns. Her work is a cross-pollination of ceramics, painting, printmaking, and digital illustration.
Creating 6 to 8 bodies of work each year, each series offers the opportunity to hone her craft while pushing new boundaries. Annie works out of her studio in the heart of Moab, balancing the dance between motherhood and her creative practice.
