We’re The Bear and the Raven, a family business created as an outlet for our creativity and an opportunity to think about old things in new ways. We hand-craft toys, folk art and jewelry, using natural materials that are often locally sourced, and we’re fans of repurposing scraps into something surprising and beautiful. 

Our business is a cooperative effort between me, Amanda, and my twin children, Maya and Ari. Maya and Ari are approaching their senior year in high school, and they’ve been doing handwork and art since they were small children. As you can see, they make beautiful things with the heartfelt intention of bringing joy and happiness to the receiver.

Maya and Ari have dreams of travelling and seeing the world, attending college and following their interest in working with horses and animals. The Bear and the Raven is a means of funding those possibilities and your purchase directly supports them. All the items are lovingly made by the three of us in our free time, outside of school and my full-time work from home as a non-profit administrator. The three of us love spending time together and being creative, and we hope that love is evident in these artifacts we offer for purchase. We wish you joy in giving and receiving. Thank you!
